Liz Guffey
Liz Guffey is a Registered Massage Practitioner, she graduated from Central Maryland School of Massage. Liz is also a Holy Fire Reiki Master and received her certification through the International Reiki Institute. From a young age, being a Massage Therapist was Liz’s dream career. She wholeheartedly believes in the power of therapeutic touch. Her compassion for her clients’ well-being and healing flows through her hands during each session.
By creating her own unique style of massage she has incorporated the different modalities she has studied. Her focused work is often on therapeutic relief of acute and chronic pain. With use of a wide variety of techniques, from movement, to muscle energy techniques, to myofascial release and trigger points, this multifaceted approach has proven effective for many of her clients.
One of Liz's passions is pre-natal massage. As a mother herself, she understands the unique pains and discomforts of an expectant mothers changing body and emotional state. She believes that with focused touch and loving intention, there is nothing more relaxing for a new mom-to-be.
Liz's journey to becoming a Reiki Master was an interesting one. For the longest time, Liz was very skeptical of most things spiritual. She believed that if you could not see it or tangibly feel it, it did not exist. She held onto this belief until the first time she received Reiki. Her first experience was literally life changing. It had set her down the path she now follows and truly believes in. Reiki has helped Liz heal herself of past traumas, learn forgiveness and trust, and helped her grow into the beautiful light being she was always meant to be. She is honored now, to share this gift with others.
Liz offers a space free of judgement, where open communication is key to her practice. Although her intuition goes a long way, she needs two way dialog to remain open so she can provide the safest, most effective outcome available.
